Staff Sergeant Daniel A. Lee Class of 2007

					Distinguished Flying Cross

United States Air Force

Bronze Star with "V" Device
Citation

Staff Sergeant Daniel A. Lee distinguished himself by heroism at Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base, Republic of Vietnam, while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in ground operations against an opposing armed force on 19 February 1968. On that date a North Vietnamese Rocket impacted on Saigon International Airport Terminal. After shielding a fellow airman, and thereby taking major injury to himself, Sergeant Lee administered first aid to the many wounded military and civilian personnel in the terminal, thereby helping to save many lives. By his heroic actions and unselfish dedication to duty, Sergeant Lee has reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
