Private First Class Seymour Brown. Seymour Brown, 35913948, Private First Class, Company C, 634th Tank Destroyer Battalion. For heroic achievement in connection with military operations against the enemy in the vicinity of Drove, Germany, 26 February 1945. When the enemy launched a savage attack, Private Brown, although painfully wounded, fearlessly directed a vehicle across hazardous terrain to an exposed vantage point and, despite an intense artillery barrage, skillfully directed fire upon hostile tanks and compelled them top withdraw. Private Brown's heroic actions and outstanding initiative aided immeasurably in repulsing an assault.
