2026 Ohio Military Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
The 27th annual induction ceremony for The Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor Class of 2026 is scheduled for Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium, starting at 11:30 am. The public is invited to attend. It will be live streamed at www.ohiochannel.org.
The honorees in this year’s class include veterans from the U.S. Army, U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force/Army Air Corps. These inductees served in the following conflicts: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Global War on Terror. Of the 20 honorees, eight are posthumous awards. Three were killed in combat.
These remarkable Ohioans have all gone above and beyond the call of duty and performed heroically in specific combat actions against armed enemies of the United States of America. For their actions, members of this Class have received such commendations as the Medal of Honor, Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star with “V” device, and the Army/Joint Service Commendation Medal with “V” device. Many have earned multiple awards for valor. All were born in Ohio or entered the service from Ohio.
These inductees have connections to the following cities/towns in Ohio: Amelia, Chagrin Falls, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Fleming, Foster, Hamilton, Huron, Lakewood, Loraine, Lower Salem, Marietta, Miamisburg, Middletown, North Ridgeville, Otway, Pleasant Plain, Springboro, Warren, and Westerville.
This year’s ceremony will bring the total number of Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor recipients to 537 from around Ohio, of whom 21 were awarded the Medal of Honor.
The Ohio Military Hall of Fame for Valor was established in 2000 as a private, non-profit organization to recognize Ohio servicemen and women who were decorated for heroism while in combat situations.
