For exceptionally valorous achievement while assigned as the commander, combined Hungarian and United States Army Infantry Company Advisor Team, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Captain France, with disregard to his own safety, receiving heavy small arms and rocket propelled grenade fire, coordinated the recovery of friendly forces casualties. He was instrumental in ensuring that the Afghan National Army and International Security Assistance Force Soldiers did not sustain any additional casualties by directing all forces fire. Captain France’s actions reflect distinct credit upon himself, Hungarian-United States Operation Mentor and Liaison Team, and the United States Army.
