We are honored to announce that the Ohio Military Hall of Fame proudly inducted a distinguished group of veterans in our annual ceremony held this past May 2024. These brave individuals were nominated by their peers, family, and friends for their exceptional valor and unwavering dedication to our country.

The 2024 inductees have shown extraordinary heroism and have served as exemplary representatives of the values and principles that define our military. Each story of courage and sacrifice is a testament to their commitment and strength.

The honorees in this year’s class include veterans from the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Air Corps, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. These inductees served in the following conflicts: World War II, Vietnam, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Of the 17 honorees, seven are posthumous awards. Four were killed in combat.

These remarkable Ohioans have all gone above and beyond the call of duty and performed heroically in specific combat actions against armed enemies of the United States of America. For their actions, members of this Class have received such commendations as the Medal of Honor, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, the Bronze Star with “V” device, and the Army Commendation Medal with “V” device. Many have earned multiple awards for valor.

These inductees have connections to the following cities/towns in Ohio: Akron, Austintown, Brunswick, Canton, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Dover, Hilliard, Mansfield, Marysville, Miamisburg, Mount Vernon, Newcomerstown, Norwalk, Painesville, Powell, Ravenna, Sidney, Upper Arlington, Wadsworth, and Willard.
